About Ayetoro Gbede Global Network
The Ayetoro Gbede Global Network (AGN) was set up in 2017 to facilitate the general development of Ayetoro Gbede, among others, and has close to 100 members. Its vision is to, through strategic intervention, make Ayetoro Gbede the centre of excellence in education, healthcare, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It has in membership public-spirited members of the community building on the foundations of self-development laid by their fathers. These are top professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders, chief executives, senior military officers, notable professors, accomplished lawyers, renowned journalists, public officials and other development-driven elite native to Ayetoro Gbede spread across Nigeria, USA, Canada, UK and Belgium.
In a pilot project of sorts, the AGN within three years invested over N120 million remodelling the Community High School, which could not build a toilet for students in 40 years of existence, into a modern secondary school with well-equipped science laboratories, ICT Centre, well-stocked library, modern classrooms, borehole and streetlights.
Its next project is a well-equipped cottage hospital to cater to the health needs of the growing population of Ayetoro Gbede and the over 200 neighbouring communities.
The AGN Board of Trustees (BOT) is chaired by Prof. Olu Obaro, a Consultant Radiologist who has, for over 40 years, worked in the United Kingdom at the managerial and executive level, including being Head of the Radiology Department, King George Hospital, London.
